Each companion is built around a specific illness, for the patient and the people beside them, and helps families understand a diagnosis, prepare for appointments and hard decisions, and find words for the conversations that come with it. Ember was founded in 2025 by people who lived through serious illness in their own families. It is free for families and private by design.
